Pohjasakka Kidutusta Ja Pelkoa LP is the legendary 1986 5-track demo from the Rauma Finland hardcore band Pohjasakka, finally pressed to vinyl after a 36-year wait. The title translates to "Torture And Fear." This Pohjasakka LP captures the band's intended second EP that never came out during their original run - originally recorded in 1986 a year after their absolute Finnish hardcore classic Maailma Täynnä Vihaa 7 inch EP (1985). 5 tracks: Kidutusta Ja Pelkoa, PKK (Paskiaisen Kova Kohtalo), Taistelua, Narkkis, and Jättiläiset. Pohjasakka's style is a little different on these tracks - less gnarly and less hardcore than the debut EP, with focus moved from aggro to melody, but the band keeps things as intense as ever just with melodic touches added. Mastered for vinyl by Jari Mikkola of Aivoproteesi from the original studio recordings. Sleeve design by Pate Vuorio of Uutuus. Comes with two-sided lyrics sheet. Essential listening for fans of Finnish hardcore, Suomi punk, Rauma hardcore, melodic Finnish HC, and the foundational mid-80s Finnish punk underground alongside Kaaos, Riistetyt, Terveet Kädet, Bastards, and Rattus.
