Force Skeletor 混沌神降臨 Discography 1991 to 1994 2xLP is the definitive anthology of the legendary Japanese hardcore band, a rare example of traditional Japanese hardcore rooted in 80s speed metal. This Force Skeletor 2xLP delivers 24 tracks of the band's powerful blend of traditional Japanese HC while still maintaining an old school metal vibe - creating a unique choice of sound that turns out to be totally epic and intense. The band formed in the mid-80s as a speed/thrash metal band, but after starting to attend the local hardcore scene gradually shifted their style toward the Japcore sound. Frontman Reezi described the shift: by the time they started writing their own songs the metal scene was already partially overshadowed by the rise of grunge, with Pantera's influence pushing many bands towards groove metal - Force Skeletor who aspired to play "fast and extreme metal" felt discouraged by the state of the scene, until discovering the legendary Japanese hardcore compilation video Complete Death Live from 1989. Tracks include Born From The Chaos, History Of Pain, The War (Birth Of Battler), Crush The Wall, Nemesis's Cry, Flame Of Elimination, In The Anger, Concrete, Running To Horizons, and S.E.X. (Love Or Desire). Gatefold jacket packaging. Released by F.O.A.D. Records. Essential listening for fans of Japanese hardcore, Japcore, traditional 80s/90s Japcore, speed metal-influenced hardcore, and the foundational Japanese underground alongside Death Side, Judgement, and the wider Burning Spirits scene.
