Dezerter Still Living Man LP captures the legendary live performance of the iconic Warsaw Polish hardcore punk band at the August 1984 Jarocin Festival - one of the most famous and important Polish punk performances ever recorded. Originally released by the band themselves on cassette under their own Tank Records imprint in 1984, this Dezerter LP makes the legendary Jeszcze Żywy Człowiek live document officially available on vinyl. Dezerter's 1984 Jarocin set turned out to be one of the main events of the entire festival - the band ripping through all their best songs from the early era, with frequent breaks where vocalists Skandal and Stepa read excerpts from popular Polish comic books like Hans Kloss. At one point the band requested firefighters present at the stadium to water down the dry grass because clouds of dust were being kicked up by the audience's pogo dancing. Dezerter was founded as SS-20 in May 1981 in Warsaw and is considered one of the most popular and influential Polish punk bands in history. Essential listening for fans of Polish hardcore punk, Eastern Bloc punk, live punk recordings, anarcho-punk, and the foundational Warsaw hardcore scene that emerged under communist Poland.
